NGO “BelAPDIiMI” has begun realization of the project “Spotlight” in cooperation with the Swedish cultural organization ShareMusicSweden since 2015.
“Spotlight” is a cultural project which aim is to support and strengthen opportunities of people with disabilities in society through artistic means of expression.
We want to draw attention to creative talents of “special” people as well as to their opportunities and potential in general.
“Spotlight” invites to exchange of knowledge and experience, development and distribution of creative working methods.
Within the framework of the project seminars and workshops devoted to creative work in groups where the participants – people with different experience, possibilities and level of training will be carried out. Workshops are held by professional musicians, choreographers, actors and producers whose efforts aimed at assistance in expressing creativity of people with disabilities.
In a friendly and relaxed atmosphere emphasis at diagnoses and obstacles quietly shifts to possibilities and unique abilities of each person. Innovative musical instruments and applications are also used in work, so everyone without exception can participate.
Creative laboratories on practical study of work with integrated groups will be organized on the basis and with support of day-care centers and boarding institutions.
“Spotlight” also presupposes seminars for journalists on norms and principles of the image of people with disabilities in mass media.
ShareMusicSweden is an organization in the field of culture and art which develops theatrics making modern performances with emphasis on the creative process. People with different opportunities gather together to do creative work and develop their potential. ShareMusic do an active work in the field of exchange knowledge, passing a unique experience through seminars, lectures and joint projects in Sweden and abroad.
ShareMusicSweden was established in 2003. It is a state-funded non-profit organization, independent from political parties, religious organizations and trade unions.
The project has been carrying out in cooperation with the Belarusian State Pedagogical University named after M. Tank.
