On October 8, 2014 a seminar “Innovations in Corporate Social Responsibility” was held at the Association of European Businesses with the support of the Swedish Institute which was attended by representatives of NGO “BelAPDIiMI”.
The aim of the seminar was to discuss the importance of innovative CSR practices, as well as the positive influence of separate innovations on economic indicators of enterprises.
The activity of our organization was presented by Elena Titova, chairperson of NGO “BelAPDIiMI” and Natalya Ampleeva, chairperson of the primary organization of the Oktyabrsky district of NGO “BelAPDIiMI”. They told the participants of the seminar about the activity of NGO “BelAPDIiMI” and about realization of the project “Your chance” aimed at the employment of people with disabilities. Natalya Ampleeva also told about the activity of the experimental enterprise “Art Idea”, presented statistics of employment of people with multiple disabilities in the Republic of Belarus, told about the production of the enterprise and the production of ecological packaging. A package made of ecological materials, a booklet of the enterprise and other handouts were handed to each participant of the seminar.
Representatives of the business industry were invited to the activity, they shared examples of their work on CSR and shared their experience with the participants: the head of “Agency of social marketing GrandBS» Dmitriy Gmyza who told about Belarusian tendencies in the field of CSR, representative of “Heineken Brewery” Darya Lyskovets with information about realization of the project “Brewing beer – creating the future”, representative of Kart-Center of “Belinvestbank” Vadim Golovchits who told about the charity program “Help to make a miracle happen!”.
The consequences of the production processes sometimes have a negative impact on social and environmental aspects of the life of society. In order to be successful today and innovative, it is necessary to take into account these nuances. Representatives of business-structures told at the seminar how their enterprises and organizations manage to take into account all the aspects of the life of society and at the same time to minimize the consequences of production processes.
At the end of the seminar listeners continued their communication in informal atmosphere.
