A trip to Poland

DSCN2400In many families children with disabilities are brought up together with healthy children. They tend to bear a heavy burden of responsibility for their “special” brothers and sisters. These children also need at least a little respite and recovery, which is often infeasible because of a lack of material resources in the family. The staff of the NGO “BelAPDIiMI” with the financial support of one of the charitable organizations in Belarus organized a trip for 20 siblings in Poland from 3 to 16 of June. Children changed the environment, learnt the culture and history of the country, visited aquapark, ran with pleasure, swam and played outdoor games, communicated with each other. The organization of this trip allowed the children to improve their health without undermining the family budget, and the parents to spend most of their time for a child with disabilities and to each other.
