Opportunity to dip into the world of childhood

New Year is a holiday everyone is looking forward to. An action to collect goods for vulnerable citizens of Minsk and Minsk region was held in December 2016 by the volunteers of the brotherhood in the honor of the Holy Apostle Ioann Bogoslov in the Holy Spirit Cathedral in Minsk, under the blessing of Metropolitan Pavel of Minsk and Zaslavl, Patriarchal Exarch of All Belarus. Apart from that, the volunteers organized theatrical performances in different social institutions.

One of the performances was organized in the primary organization of the Minsk City Organization of the NGO “BelAPDIiMI” in Oktyabrskiy district.

An incredible soap bubble show became a wonderful present for children and their parents. This amazing and thrilling performance touched both children and adults. Our holiday turned into a real fairy tale! We got an opportunity to dip into the world of childhood. Countless number of clear bright bubbles flying away allowed everyone to enjoy the world of magic and fantasy.

When the show was finished, all the participants got sweet gifts. By the way, young people with disabilities over 18 years old got presents too. They are adults according to the law, but they remain children taking into account their intellectual abilities. It’s important for them to get support and communication as they don’t see many miracles in real life, even during magic winter holidays. These youngsters are as happy to meet the Father Frost and get some presents as all the children are.

Mothers who look after children and young people with disabilities are sincerely thankful to each and everyone who organized that wonderful holiday, to everyone who made people with disabilities a little bit happier.

Thanks for such a pleasant congratulations with New Year. It cheered us up!

Natalia Ampleeva,
the chairperson of the primary organization of the Minsk City Organization of the NGO “BelAPDIiMI”
