On June 20, a charitable inclusive festival “We need each other” was carried out in Minsk Zoo thanks to the partnership of Minsk Zoo, primary organization of NGO “BelAPDIiMI” in Zavodskoiy district of Minsk and Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA).
Last year the festival was carried out for the citizens of Zavodskoiy district, and this year the festival was organized for the residents of Belarus. Children from Vitebsk, Gomel, Mogilev, Novopolotsk, Molodechno, Borisov, Pukhovichi, Lyuban and other Belarusian cities came to the festival.
Friendly volunteers and funny entertainers met children and their parents at the entrance to the Zoo.
Rich entertaining programme was prepared for the guests and the participants of the festival:
— merry games and master classes;
— an enchanting chemistry magic show;
— fascinating playgrounds;
— a children’s zoo (guinea pigs, rabbits, Madagascar cockroaches and boas);
— a charitable fair;
— funny aqua makeup;
— pleasant surprises from the sponsors;
— a bright exhibition of children’s paintings;
— a rich festive concert programme with participation of Belarusian singers (George Koldun, German Titov and others) and children’s groups from Minsk and other regions.
Children and parents were thrilled to bits!
On one of the sites a charitable fair was organized. Handmade souvenirs made by youngsters were sold there. All the funds raised were spent for recuperation and rehabilitation of children with disabilities.
The climax of the day was “a trip to the sky” on board of Antonov AN-2 and an excursion inside the biggest helicopter – the helicopter of the Ministry of Emergency Situation! It was unforgettable experience!
