FESTIVAL OF CHILDREN AND YOUTH CREATIVITY “COLOURS OF LIFE”

фарбыNGO “Belarusian Association of Assistance to Children and Young People with Disabilities” and PUE “Multics” with assistance of the US Agency for International Development (USAID) organize an international inclusive festival of Children and Youth creativity “Colours of life”.

Date: March 21 – the final gala concert.

Time: 15.00 – 17.30, registration 14.00

Venue: Belarusian Republican Young People’s Theatre (26 Engels Street, Minsk)

Festival motto: “Life is given to create life!”

Aims of the activity: to provide children and young people with disabilities a chance to express their inner world in the language of creativity, to realize abilities and demonstrate the talent equally with other children; to support children and young people with special development and help them to gain confidence in themselves, to overcome the barrier of alienation and raise the importance of creativity of such children for cultural development of Belarus.

The main feature of the festival is that children and young people with disabilities (living in specialized boarding institutions and in families) will perform together with children and young people without disabilities aged 5 to 31 years and artists-professionals, Belarusian pop stars.

Within the framework of the festival jury of the contest will choose winners in 8 nominations: “Vocal Genre”, “Literary genre”, “Instrumental genre”, “Fine Arts”, “Dance genre”, “Original genre”, “Photo skill”, “Decorative and applied arts”.

The main objectives of the organizers of the activity: to help children with special development to disclose creative potential, to attract attention of mass media, “stars”, opinion leaders and the public to the theme.

The activity will be attended by partners from Belarus and abroad, official representatives of the UN and UNICEF in Belarus, heads and employees of state and public organizations, representatives of the Belarusian business, creative intelligentsia, young people with disabilities and their parents.

Announcer of the activity: a television director, a screenwriter, a writer, a TV presenter, Tamara Lisitskaya

The activity will take place within the framework of the project “Art for inclusion of people with disabilities”which is implemented by NGO “BelAPDIiMI” with assistance of the US Agency for International Development (USAID). The project is aimed at forming a positive attitude towards people with disabilities.
